Licensed plumber, drainer and gasfitter. The standard behind every Voyager job.
Mathew founded Voyager Plumbing and remains its nominated supervisor — the person NSW Fair Trading holds responsible for the quality of the company’s work. He’s held his own contractor licence since December 2016.
Mathew came up the way most good plumbers do — through an apprenticeship, then years on the tools as a qualified tradesperson. In December 2016 he took the step most tradies never do: he sat for his own NSW contractor licence, across all four classes — plumbing, draining, gasfitting and LP gasfitting.
Voyager Plumbing is that licence turned into a company. Mathew is the founder, the director and the nominated supervisor — a legal role, not a job title. Under NSW law, the nominated supervisor is personally answerable for the standard of every job the company does. When we say the buck stops with him, that’s not a figure of speech; it’s the Home Building Act.
He built the business on the things that used to frustrate him about the trade: quotes that grew legs, callout fees for showing up, and warranties that expired right before the problem came back. So Voyager charges by the job, quotes for free, and backs its workmanship on eligible work for life.

Drains and pipes. Blocked drains, pipe relining, CCTV inspections and sewer repairs — the bread and butter of North Shore plumbing, where tree roots and old earthenware pipes keep every drainer busy.
Water. Hot water systems, leak detection, burst pipes and tap repairs.
Gas. As a licensed gasfitter and LP gasfitter, Mathew is qualified for gas installations, repairs and safety checks — work that’s illegal (and genuinely dangerous) without the licence class to match.
Emergencies. The 24/7 line is answered around the clock, because the worst plumbing problems don’t book ahead.

The Voyager blog answers the questions we get asked in real kitchens and backyards across the North Shore. When a guide carries a “reviewed by Mathew Veselcic” note, it means exactly that: a licensed plumber has read it and stands behind the advice in it. No note, no claim — we’d rather under-promise than put his name on something he hasn’t checked.
